A contractor website that catches every lead

Website · Ferry Construction & Excavation (St. Joseph, MO)
Every lead Logged to a sheet + emailed
10 Service-area towns covered

Ferry Construction & Excavation does good work — excavation, roofing, tree work and more across the St. Joseph and Kansas City area. But online, the business was a Facebook page. There was no site to send people to, and no record of who reached out or how.

What I built

A site about his work, not filler. Every service page is built around real job photos and what the business actually does — no stock photos, no invented project history, no made-up team.

The part that matters most for the business is behind the scenes:

  • Every lead is captured. Contact-form submissions land in a Google Sheet and are emailed to the owner right away.
  • Calls and texts are tracked too. When someone taps the phone number or the text button, that gets logged — so the owner can see which pages actually produce calls.
  • Service-area pages for the towns he works in, each written to stand on its own instead of the copy-paste town pages most contractor sites use.
  • An automated check on every build catches broken links, missing image descriptions, and any claim the business can’t back up before it goes live.

It’s hosted with no monthly platform fee, so there’s nothing to cancel and nothing to renew but the domain.

The result

The site is live at ferryconstructionexcavation.com, and the lead flow — form, sheet, email, call and text tracking — was tested end to end before launch.

Why this matters for a business like yours

Most small businesses don’t have a lead problem so much as a lead-tracking problem: calls come in, forms get missed, and nobody knows which marketing is working. Capturing every inquiry in one place is usually the first system worth building — everything else (follow-ups, reminders, reporting) builds on top of it.
